An architect by trade, Ibrahim was first inspired by her city’s 2016 hosting of the Lady Problems Hackathon, a series of global events that sought to solve women-specific regional issues by assembling a crack team of female coders and entrepreneurs. “I really admired the energy and talent,” she recalls. “I didn’t know that women in my city knew how to build apps and software that solved problems and supported women in our society.”
