𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭? To find out Gaza Sky Geeks consulted 44 Palestinian tech and digital service companies who shared their challenges. Politics aside, we found out that Palestinian companies struggle to win new and lucrative projects due to a shortage of skilled and specialized tech talents. As a response, Gaza Sky Geeks designed and implemented the Market Systems Development (MSD) program where we helped 15 tech companies recruit 160 young Palestinian talents who were trained for three months. These talents are now delivering quality work for the companies that recruited them- developing software and digital solutions for clients across the world, like Germany and Saudi Arabia. This program has proven that Palestinian private-sector collaboration is a significant catalyst for economic growth in Palestine.
